Genoa, Nev. — It will be all about the parking at the Genoa Town Board meeting tonight. A lease agreement with Lisa Lekumberry for use of the lot next door to the former Trimmer’s Outpost is on the agenda for 5:30 p.m. as is a resolution affecting parking along Mill Street. Genoans meet in the Town Hall.

Over in Minden, Town Board members will discuss accepting improvements associated with La Costa Phase 4B and hear an update on the Martin Slough Trial Project. The town board meets 5:30 p.m. in the CVIC Hall.

Highway 50 will experience single lane closures between Kahle Drive and Kingsbury Grade 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today while the state conducts maintenance on its electronic highway signs. Down in Carson Valley, message boards should be up along Kimmerling Road warning residents the road will be closed 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday to replace a failing culvert.

There were collisions on both sides of the Valley within five minutes of each other around 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday. The one at Centerville near Aspen Mobile Home Park resulted in one person being transported, while another on Highway 395 near Mica Drive didn’t result in a transport, from what I heard.

Today will be similar to Tuesday, with a high of 61 degrees and the wind out of the north at around 5 mph as the high pressure ridge keeps on keeping on.
