Genoa, Nev. — Firefighters have a line around 70 percent of the Mountain View Fire burning down in Walker. Residents were allowed back on their property on Sunday morning to salvage what they can. Full containment is expected by month’s end.

Douglas added eight new coronavirus cases and had five recoveries on Sunday. We’ve got 37 active cases and 497 recoveries. Testing is back at the community center in Gardnerville 2-4 p.m. Tuesday.

Sunday’s announcement that the governor is placing Nevada on pause for three weeks may have consequences for the December events. As with anything planned in the coronasphere, stand by to stand by.

The Minden-Tahoe Airport Advisory board meets virtually 5:30 p.m. today. It’s all updates from staff, but you never know what will come out of that. You can find out how to watch by visiting douglascountynv.gov and clicking agendas and meetings.

The slight chance of precipitation forecast for today has been postponed until Wednesday, so today we’ll see mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 49 degrees.
