John Langdon Lane

John Langdon Lane, aka the man of steel, born September, 21st 1942 in Edmonton, Alberta Canada to father Edward Vail Lane, an engineer working on the ALCAN Highway and mother Katherine Rivers Lane, a graduate of the University of Montana. Raised in Palo Alto, CA. After completing high school at “Paly” High, John joined the Army being assigned to the 101st Airborne. Despite his fear of heights, successfully completed 21 jumps. After the Army John attended The University of Nevada, Reno and received a degree in civil engineering. John enjoyed racing motorcycles in his younger years and collecting them in his later years. He also enjoyed owning and flying airplanes, but above all John was a Pontiac enthusiast. (Which you don’t really hear that often) Survived by his brother Ed Lane, 2 children John-Henry Lane and Sarah Lane and 3 grandchildren. Dad, we will miss you terribly. Thank you for being our father.
