Buil “Bill” Howard Manning, age 94, passed away at his home in Carson City, Nevada on Friday, February 22, 2019, of natural causes.
He was born January 7, 1925 in Fairfield, Alabama and he lived quite a life... 20 years serving our country in the Navy, in three wars, traveling the world, then going on to retire two more times, loving and enjoying his family, hunting, fishing.
Bill enjoyed meeting new people, especially his fellow veterans. He could strike up a conversation with total strangers and make new friends. He was strong, kind and funny and always ready to help anyone who needed it.
Aside from his family, he was most proud of his service to his country.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sarah Manning, and their extended family of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Service will be held at 2pm, Thursday, February 28, at the Autumn Funeral Home, 1575 N. Lompa Lane, Carson City, NV. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception at the Manning home immediately following.
