Shirley Morey passed away early Sunday morning, September 9th, at the age of 90. She was born in Bertrand, Nebraska, the fifth and youngest child of Robert and Lillie Sunblade. She grew up and attended school in Bertrand, played the clarinet in the band, sang in the choir, was a cheerleader, an honor student, and it was there that she met the love of her life. They graduated from high school together in 1946.

Oregon State-Nevada to be televised

RENO — Saturday’s football game between Nevada and Oregon State will be aired on ESPNU. The game was previously scheduled for a digital broadcast on ESPN3. However, due to weather events on the east coast, ESPN networks have gone through programming changes and the Nevada-Oregon State game was moved into a spot on ESPNU.

Q&A Branden Beeghly: 2016 grad now at University of Benedictine in Mesa

Branden Beeghly, a 2016 Fallon grad, made his mark with the Greenwave baseball program before turning the page to the next chapter of his life. Beeghly, who’s father, Randy, who was inducted into the Greenwave Hall of Fame last year, finished his second year at Williston State College (North Dakota) and is now at the University of Benedictine in Mesa, Ariz. Beeghly took some time to reflect on his time with Fallon and in the Midwest as he prepares for his new adventure in the desert.
