Lowry handles Lady Wave in 3 sets

Lowry handed the Lady Wave volleyball team a 3-0 loss Thursday night in Winnemucca.

Fallon falls to 6-14 overall, 4-9 in the Northern 3A. Lowry, 9-3, is tied for second with Truckee, one game behind Fernley. Fallon travels to South Tahoe today. Earlier this season, South Tahoe defeated the Lady Wave in Fallon, 3-1.

The Lady Bucks won their match against Fallon 25-20, 25-16 and 25-14, the third time Lowry has defeated Fallon this season.

Rylee Buckmaster and Karlee Hitchcock led Fallon in kills with seven and six, respectively. Jordan Beyer and Macie Anderson each had four. Beyer led with four blocks, while Anderson and Buckmaster each had three. Hitchcock had two. Journey Martin had 13 digs and Gracy Lisanti added five.

Lorynn Fagg tallied three service points — all for aces. Shelbi Shultz finished the night with 22 assists.
