Fallon dominates Cal Ripken All-Star Tournament

Fallon’s Cal Ripken all-star teams nearly completed the sweep over the weekend in the state tournament at the county regional park. Fallon captured baseball state titles in the 9-under, 10-under and 12-under divisions while the 8-under team fell short in the elimination game against Silver State. The 9-under club defeated Spanish Springs for the title, while both the 10-under and 12-under teams defeated Silver State. The 12-under team had to battle back from a late deficit to win. Fallon’s three all-star teams qualified for the regional tournament, which begins on July 17 at various locations. The 9-under regional tournament is in West Valley City, Utah, the 10-under tournament is in Visalia, Calif., and the 12-under tournament is in Beaver, Utah.
