Franklin Steinberg






Franklin Steinberg of Carson City passed away peacefully in the local hospital there at the age of 75. Frank was comforted in his final days by his close friends and adopted nieces Kathleen Palley of Roseville, CA and Lisa Friend of Carson City.


Frank graduated from UCLA with a degree in political science in 1961. He dedicated his life to public service beginning with service in the US Army. Following that, Frank served in various civilian positions. First with California state government, and subsequently with the Federal government worldwide to include three years in Vietnam. After retiring from Federal service, Frank accepted positions with the Nevada state government retiring in 2012.


Throughout his adult life Frank has been active in Republican politics, having served as a Nevada delegate at a national convention. Frank also maintained a deep and abiding commitment to his family and to his family of friends.


He will be remembered for his intelligence, unshakable integrity, and his boundless sense of humor.


Frank is survived by his brother Arthur Steinberg (Donna); nieces Stephanie Kurspahic, Jessica Cox (Gregory); nephew James Hash (Dorothea); and five great nieces and nephews.


Memorial service will be held at Walton’s Chapel, 1281 N. Roop St., Carson City on Wednesday, April 19th at 10:30 AM.


Burial is tentatively scheduled for 10:30 AM, April 20th, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
