Lyon County seeks information on vehicle in connection to missing woman

During the course of the investigation into the recent disappearance of 60-year-old Toni Davis, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office now believes there was foul play involved in the disappearance.

A search warrant was executed and several items of evidence has been seized from her Dayton residence. The forensics analysis is currently underway.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help. If anyone saw the truck pictured on Thursday, April 28, between 5 and 8 p.m. in the Mark Twain area of Dayton, the Six Mile Canyon area, Virginia City, Mound House or Reno areas contact investigators at the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

Also, anyone who may have seen the vehicle going off road in or around the Virginia City area.

“We have no reason to believe there is any threat to the community,” said Sheriff Al McNeil.

Davis, from the Mark Twain area of Dayton, went missing in the late afternoon or early evening of April 28, has not been seen or heard from since, according to a Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. She’s said to have left on foot, but the direction of travel is unknown.

Davis, a white female, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs between 150 and 170 pounds. She has brown/gray hair and hazel eyes.
