Lynda A. Hanson

November 1944 –June 2016

Lynda passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on June 20. 2016, a special day when a full moon and the summer solstice occur together.Lynda was born and raised in San Diego, CA., where she eventually met and married her husband, Jeff.Many years of adventures began with Jeff being in the Navy. The biggest adventure was the birth of their daughter, Laura in 1968.As a military wife, Lynda lived in cities and towns all over this country. She and Laura became very experienced in the art of efficiently moving from home to home. One of their most adventurous tours for the family was two years in Norway, which was a true educational experience.When Jeff retired from the Navy in 1986, they settled in Fallon. Lynda became involved in the community and worked at several businesses. For many years, Lynda volunteered as a Board member and Treasurer for Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS). She loved all the

animals and more than a few cats came home. She participated in all the fundraisers, and was a very generous donator and actively volunteered her time. Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Erma Stinson.Lynda is survived by her husband, Jeff and her daughter, Laura.A Celebration of Life will be held at the Oasis Community Church, 1520 South Maine St. Fallon, NV.on Friday, July 1,2016 at 10:00 amLynda’s wishes were that any donations in her name be sent to Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS) PO Box 5128 Fallon, NV. 89407.Arrangements are being handled by The Gardens Funeral Home 2949 Austin Highway Fallon, NV. 89406 775-423-8928
