Lawrence (Larry) Lee LeMahieu

On the morning of May 9th at Renown Medical Center, Larry passed away of Bile Duct Cancer, with his wife, Diane by his side. He was born on September 13, 1948, in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the first born to Melvin and Elizabeth LeMahieu. He graduated in 1966 from Plymouth High School.A veteran of the Vietnam War, Larry served in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic from 1968 - 1975. He worked on fighter jets in the TAC Division and became a Staff Sergent. After the service he moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, to work for Kimberly-Clark on their corporate jets. He eventually worked in their plant as a mechanic on their diaper machine. As I always said “My husband works in diapers.” He was with the

company for 29 years. Larry retired in 2005 and settled with his wife Diane in Topaz Ranch Estates. He loved looking at the Sweetwater Mountains. He was always busy with projects and ideas. The latest was woodturning and he belonged to Carson Valley Woodturners. Larry enjoyed meeting new people and trying new things.Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister Ann Clare. He is survived by his wife, daughter Michelle Ann and son John Michael, brother Jerome and wife Kathy, nieces Andrea and Rebekah and nephew Carson. Also sister-in law Sharon, uncles and aunts, plus many cousins and second cousins.He will be missed dearly by his family and all of his old and new friends.A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 1 pm at Topaz Ranch Estates Church, 1441 Agate Street in Topaz Ranch Estates.
