In Memory Of A Life Well Live

My wonderful husband, Lynn Morrill Week, passed away on June 29, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1940 in Oakland, California. Lynn, his parents and brother moved from Orinda, to their cattle ranch in Pope Valley, California, when Lynn was a young boy. His early education was at the Little Red School House in Pope Valley. He attended St. Helena High School was a star football player, playing both offense and defense in every game. They were undefeated all four years.

We were married in 1961 and lived in Pope Valley with our children until 1979. During those 18 years, Lynn raised and sold minnows to the fishing resorts around Lake Berryessa and Lake County. He continued working on the ranch, as well as constructing numerous privately owned state agricultural dams. His interest and passion in geothermal began when he worked at the Geysers. We moved to the Fallon, Nevada area in 1979.

Lynn was an exceptional person, always putting others before himself. He was a kind, honest, ambitious man. He had a great smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He was respected by all who knew him. His handshake was his word. He loved his family and friends and was a very generous man. He passed wis work ethics and mechanical abilities on to the next generations.

Lynn was a general engineering contractor. We owned and operated Continental Equipment Company for over 50 years. Our company specialized in geothermal projects, constructing the roads and pads and providing the drill rig support, throughout numerous sites in Nevada. His mechanical abilities and knowledge of operating heavy equipment were outstanding. He took great pride in everything he did. He said he was a lucky man because he enjoyed his work and always had the opportunity to learn new things. He worked extremely hard all of his life and appreciated and respected his employees throughout his entire career.

He always enjoyed spending time at our ranch in Mendocino County and treasured the memories made there. He enjoyed working on the driving his classic cars.

We thank those who provided Lynn’s home therapy and care. They were excellent and brought hope and happiness to him, by improving his quality of life. He was extremely grateful.

I, Joyce Week, am privileged to have shared 55 years of my life married to this special man. I will love him always and forever.

He was predeceased by his parents Dick and Ann Week and his brother Hank Week.

In addition to myself, Lynn is survived by our children, Wes Week, Tom Week and Tam Acquistapace; Nephew, Ben Week; Grandchildren, Brandon Acquistapace, Cody Acquistapace, Nathan Week and Sasha Kendrick; Great Grandchildren, Jaelynn, Zoe and Emmarie.

A private family gathering will be held at our ranch at a future date.
