The art of schmoozing was the focal point of the Business Association’s Spring Networking Social on Thursday.

More than 50 people attended the Business Association’s kickoff event for the spring semester. The event was one of several activities the group will offer this spring.

Business Association is open to all WNC students who are interested in any area of business, as well as WNC alumni and community members. WNC Business Professor Robert Whitcomb serves as the association’s director. Whitcomb said the association is focused on providing educational experiences and opportunities for students, as well as supporting community needs.

“The purpose of this first event was to help students develop their networking skills,” Whitcomb said. “At the Networking Social, we shared and applied the nuts and bolts of social networking.”
