Carson Tahoe Health would like to recognize Jacob Watts, CNA and former CNO Cathy Dinauer, MSN, RN for being appointed by Gov. Brian Sandoval to serve the Nevada State Board of Nursing in their new respective roles. Dinauer is now the executive director, and Watts is a new board member representing CNAs across the state.

“Carson Tahoe is grateful to be supported by a legacy of talented care team members, both past and present, who share our deep-rooted commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient-centered healthcare,” said Ed Epperson, CEO of Carson Tahoe Health. “This commitment stretches far and wide, from community to community, and will continue to help us strengthen the health and well-being of Nevadans for generations to come.”

Dinauer has lived in Northern Nevada for more than 20 years. She served as Carson Tahoe’s CNO for 15 years prior to becoming the associate director of nursing practice for the Nevada State Board of Nursing in 2013. Following Debra Scott’s retirement late last year, Dinauer began serving as the executive director of the board on Jan. 1. Her contributions continue to be invaluable to promoting a culture of health, safety, and well-being in Nevada.

Born and raised in Northern Nevada, Watts has served as a CNA at Carson Tahoe for the past eight years. He was selected from a pool of CNAs across the state who applied to the Governor’s Office for a position on the Nevada State Board of Nursing, which included a rigorous interview process.

“I have always been passionate about helping people, and providing personalized care to patients and their families at Carson Tahoe is incredibly rewarding,” said Watts. “I feel so honored to be a part of the Board and to support the needs of Nevadans in today’s changing healthcare environment.”
