Trump is âKing of the Whoppersâ
What do Republicans really know about Donald Trump? Do they know that in October 2008, he gave an interview to CNN enthusiastically calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush, as a âhorribleâ president, âpossibly the worst in the history of the countryâ? Trump said in the interview he was âtremendously impressedâ by Nancy Pelosi, heaped praise on Saddam Hussein, and excoriated Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
He contributed money to Harry Reid in 2010 and to both Pelosi and Reid in 2006 when Democrats took control of Congress. He made a $6,000 contribution in 2013 to liberal California Attorney General Kamala Harris, a âsanctuary citiesâ champion. Trump has changed political parties five times since 1987. The only Trump constant â he is always a self-promoter.
As for his âspeaking truth,â FactCheck.org recently created a new title for Trump: âKing of the Whoppers.â In 2015, Trump led all presidential candidates by far in making false statements, according to the fact checkers.
