Cheers & kudos: Thanks, Carson people, for love and compassion

Dear friends of Carson City,

We live in truly one of the best communities in this country ... about 10 years ago, my partner and I began playing music for a Christmas party for a “special needs” group here in Carson. With the help of their care providers and a couple of friends to play Santa, elves and a magician, pizza and dollar store gifts, we made about 20 people very happy, as they might otherwise have had no celebration at all. After mentioning the party and the pure joy we all experienced in participating with these special needs folks, we suddenly found an amazing amount of selfless people wanting to volunteer and fund this annual party.

This last year was the biggest, most fun, most full of pure innocent joy ever! Donated money, food and drinks, presents, music, magic, a venue — a community who said yes, how can I help, made 40 clients and their caregivers a memory they will not forget.

This is just a “thanks” to all who gave unconditionally from their hearts. When you call on Carson City people, they respond with love and compassion. We can’t thank you enough!
