Faith & Insight: Decision America

In the book of Joel, God tells the prophet Joel to call the people of God to repentance. He tells them to blow a trumpet in Zion. He tells them to let all the people of the land tremble for the day of the Lord is near.

In Chapter Two, Joel tells the people to return to the Lord with all of their heart. They are to rend their hearts and not their garments. Joel tells the people to call a solemn assembly; gather the people. Consecrate the congregation; assemble the elders and gather the children. The nation of Israel was being called to repent and turn back to the Lord Almighty.

Our nation is in trouble. We must turn back to God. We must turn from our wicked ways. America must fast and weep and mourn. We are now calling good what God calls evil. God is ready to bring down judgment upon this nation for our sins.

Repentance must start with the people of God. Christians must pray. They must pray in their homes. They must pray in their churches. They must pray in community nights of prayer with other churches.

In 2016 Franklin Graham will be going to the steps of every capital in the United States to call Christians to repent and to turn back to God. He will call them to live out their faith at home, in public and at the ballot box. He will also share the gospel message.

Franklin Graham has devoted his life to meeting the needs of people around the world and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The eldest son of Billy and Ruth Bell Graham, he serves as President and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Under his leadership, Samaritan’s Purse has met the needs of poor, sick, and suffering people in more than 100 countries. As an evangelist for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, he has led crusades around the world.

Decision American Nevada will be March 30. Please join with thousands at the Capitol steps as Franklin urges us to pray for our nation.

“America is at a crossroads, and I believe we should take every opportunity to stand up for the things of God and His Word.” — Franklin Graham
