GINGER BRED FOR TITLE

Ginger, a dog adopted four years ago from Carson City’s animal shelter, where she had been returned twice, was the champion of the National Barn Hunt Games held Sept. 11-13 at Purina Farms in Missouri.

Other Nevadans who represented at the competition also excelled — the grand champion is from Elko and the second place team is from Gardnerville.

Shown from the left is Liz Leisek with Ginger, Laurie Robinson and Finnigan, the grand national champion, and Jim Bentley with Hanna, the second place games champion.
