Annual V&T wine train to benefit health auxiliary

This year’s V&T Wine, Cheese and Dessert Train, sponsored by the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary, will depart the Carson City Eastgate Depot, off of Highway 50 near the Carson City Landfill, at 10 a.m. April 18 for a trip through the Comstock to Virginia City.

The train will return to Carson City at 3 p.m. The trip offers wine, cheese and dessert to and from Virginia City; lunch in Virginia City; and shuttle transportation to and from the station in Virginia City to C Street.

Attendees have the choice of tickets to one of three venues. They will also receive shopping discounts at some Virginia City merchants.

Tickets are $70 per person and are available at the Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary gift shop inside Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center’s lobby, or by calling D’Ann Chagnot at 775-882-4604.

Proceeds go to Carson Tahoe Health Auxiliary, an all-volunteer nonprofit, so it can fundraise for Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center, nursing scholarship and other health needs.
