George & Jackie Gladwill




A Celebration of Life for George and Jackie Gladwill will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11 A M at The Gardens Chapel. George Gladwill passed away July 7,2012. He was born April 24, 1938 to Gordon and Dorothea Gladwill at Tulelake, Ca. George touched and impacted many people throughout his life.George and Jackie had celebrated 57 years of marriage at the time of his passing. Jacqueline Stark Gladwill, passed away on April 19, 2015 at Highland Manor in Fallon. Long time Nevada resident, Jackie was born in Fallon on April 14, 1936 to Clyde Banus and Norma Cecelia Stark. She was raised in Dixie Valley, coming into Fallon at age 8 to live with her grandmother and attend Harmon School. After graduating from Churchill County High School, Jackie moved into Reno where she attended Business College. Upon her return to Fallon she met and married George Gladwill in July of 1955. They moved to Dillon, Montana for a time, where they had a logging business. Jackie was a homemaker but she also did the company books. She stayed at home until her children were raised before she went to work full time. The family made many moves over the years, they settled in Battle Mountain in 2000. A year ago, after the death of her husband, Jackie moved back to Fallon. Jackie spent her lifetime sewing for her family, in her spare time she loved to paint. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2012 and brother, Bill Stark. George and Jackie are survived by their daughters, Nancy and Dave Matzen of Fallon; Deb and Rich Harrison of Battle Mountain; his brother and spouse, Dennis and Loretta Gladwill of Reno; her sisters, brothers and spouses; Pat Getto; Jo (Bart) O’ Toole of Fallon; Mary (Earl) Skeen; Mark (Karen) Stark; Jim (Adrienne) Stark; Butch (Joyce) Stark ; all of Idaho; sister-in-law, Patty Stark of Arizona; grandchildren, Jennifer Hernandez; Jessica McWherter; Daniel Harrison; Susan Harrison; Channon Toles; David Paul Matzen; 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of their life’s will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at The Gardens Chapel. The family wishes donations be made in their memory to the Churchill County Museum 1050 South Maine Street Fallon, NV 89406.
