Carson Blue Jays Blue Jays blanked 10-0 in tournament opener

RENO — The Carson Blue Jays opened the Reno July 4th Invitational with a 10-0 loss to Damonte Ranch Thursday at Damonte Ranch High School.

Carson continues pool play today with games at 10 and 12:30 p.m. at Wooster High School. The tournament runs through Sunday.

Carson managed just four hits in the game off Bradley Bourdase, two by sophomore-to-be Abel Carter and one each by Bryce Moyle and Cody Azevedo.

Azevedo took the loss, yeilding eight runs in three innings of work. Terek Ben gave up two runs in his only inning of work.

Bourdase got off to a fast start, retiring the first six batters of the game. He struck out five and didn’t walk a batter.
