Dickie Bob Phelps

Dickie Bob Phelps passed away January 31, 2015 at his residence in Carson City, NV. He was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Samuel “Bud” and Bessie Phelps. Dickie joined the Navy in November 1959 and retired as a Chief Boatswains Mate while stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Station in May 1980. He served two tours in Vietnam, and received several awards, including the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Georganna; his son, Jim Phelps, daughter, Debbie Rose, and son, Brian Phelps of Lemoore, CA; and son, Sammy Phelps of Carson City; and 11grandchildren. His family plans to have a private grave-side service at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
