Silver State Gymnastics Academy captured first place over the weekend at the 2015 Gym Nevada Challenge at Gymnastics Nevada in Sparks.
Eliana Holler placed second on bars and beam en route to a third-place all-around finish in Level 3 seniors. Nicole Hawkins was first on vault and third on floor, while Jessica Stine was second in vault.
In Level 3 juniors, Eviana McGowan was first on vault, bars and floor en route to a third in all around. Bella Planeta was third on floor and second all around.
Alexis Gardner won first place on beam in Level 3 child competition.

in flag football
The Packers topped te Giants, 49-32, and the Texans, 24-6, in Talents Indoorflag football competition last week.
Against the Giants, Zach Guthrie threw for five scores and ran for another. Alex Myrehn scored five TDs. Dayna Myrehn threw for a score, while Decarlo Quintana, Quentin Beck and Parker Story all caught TD passes.
In the win over the Texans, Zach Guthrie threw for two scores and caught a TD pass, while Quentin Beck threw for two scores. Alex Myrehn caught three TD passes. Quintana, Dayna Myrehn and Quintana had interceptions.

seeking members
Memberships are now available for the 2015 season for the Carson Valley Men’s Golf Club.
Applications may be obtained at the Carson Valley Golf Course pro shop. The club has scheduled 32 weekly tournaments on Sunday mornings starting on March 15. The membership fee is $55 or $45 if you are a season pass holder at the Carson Valley Golf Course.
The membership fee includes NNGA membership for 2015 and a Basque dinner at the County Club Restaurant following the final golf tournament on Nov. 8. The men’s club has a variety of tournaments which include individual stroke play, Stableford, team best ball, scrambles, Chapman, a club championship, and a President’s Cup.
