Congratulations to stores for compliance with tobacco law

The FDA conducts inspections of tobacco retail stores to determine whether or not establishments are in compliance with the Tobacco Control Act. Carson City Health and Human Services would like to congratulate the many retail establishments that sell tobacco in Carson City for having no violations!

There were retail outlets in Henderson, Reno and Las Vegas that received warning letters for violating the act; however, our business community followed the law. We appreciate their focus on not selling tobacco products to minors and being part of the effort to keep our youth healthy and tobacco-free.
