Cheerks & Kudos: Carson River cleanup a success thanks to volunteers

On behalf of the Carson City and Sierra Nevada Kiwanis clubs, we would like to thank all of you who made the Sept. 21 Carson River cleanup a huge success.

This year, we again had tremendous participation and support from the Carson High School NJROTC, the BLM, the Carson City and Sierra Nevada Kiwanis clubs, the Carson High Key Club, Nevada Johns, Carson City and the Open Space Advisory Committee.

We want to also thank the individuals and families who came out to lend a hand.

We are fortunate that we live in a beautiful place along the Carson River surrounded by public lands that we can use, respect, and enjoy.

It is great to see folks who come to the Carson River cleanup who recognize that with great opportunity comes responsibility to be caretakers of our public lands and the natural places we all enjoy.

Thanks again, and please come join us in September next year for the 25th annual Carson River Cleanup!
