Units responding to multiple reports of wild fires

4:45 p.m. update:

East Fork Fire and Paramedic District are responding to several reports of wild land fires within Douglas County, according to a press release from Sgt. Pat Brooks of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

The fires are believed to be caused by lighting in the area. At this time no structures are in immediate danger.

• Highway 395 and Leviathan Mine Road. The fire is on the East Side of Highway 395 near Spring Valley Drive. The fire has been contained to 2-3 trees.

• Pinenut Road near Sierra Spirit Ranch. Two fires have been report in the area. The first fire is east of Lena Road and, the second on Mt. Segal. These fires are in heavy fuel, but fire fighters are being helped by current rain fall.

• Sunrise Pass Road, there are three fires have been reported in this area. Crews are being aided by the current rain.
