Obituary: Kenneth George Streit

Kenneth George Streit passed away peacefully during the early morning hours on June 25, 2013 in Carson City, NV holding hands with his wife Joyce; his life partner and soul mate for 38 years. Ken was born on December 14, 1936 in Kenosha, WI. He is preceded in death by his father, Matthias Streit (1973) and mother, Cecilia Trimarchi (2006).

Ken’s family came to Lodi, CA in 1944. He was raised in Sacramento with four siblings; his beloved sister, Carol (Ian), shared 49er fan brother, Mike and younger siblings, Belinda and Freddie (Heidi). Ken held a special place in his heart for his five children: Debbie, Linda, Paula (Doug), Deanna (Keith) and Jerry (Jill). He also cherished his seven grandchildren: Billy (Megan), Ashley (David), Jesika, Bisch, Megan, Makayla and Savanna and one great-grandchild; Alayah. Ken cared deeply for others and will be missed by his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Ken was a ceramic tile contractor for numerous years. It gave him great pride that his only son, Jerry became a business owner in the same trade. In retirement years, Ken and Joyce moved to Markleeville, CA before finally settling in Carson City, NV where they lived for the past 18 years making many dear friends in the small community. Ken enjoyed playing and watching golf, fishing, playing cards, Keno and Chess, barbequing, reading and spending time visiting with family and friends. Ken is known for his devilish smile and wicked sense of humor which he kept during his final days spent surrounded by his loving family.

Ken, Kenny, Dad, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle, Friend and Husband will be deeply missed.
