Carson’s Suspect Terrane taking Flight in Minden

Carson City’s Suspect Terrane, an acoustic music group that plays regularly at Plan:b Microlounge in the capital city, will perform this weekend at the Flight Restaurant and Bar in Minden.The group includes Michael Chambon on banjo and dobro, Lynn Zonge on guitar, Brad Hart on mandolin and Mike Suglia on bass. They play what the group refers to as high energy acoustic Americana-style music.The appearance at Flight, which is located at 2244 Meridian Blvd., Suite A, in Minden, will run from 7:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday. Suspect Terrane members say they also have performed at the Genoa Old Time Music Festival, the Bower’s Mansion Bluegrass Festival, the Americana Music Festival in Virginia City and the Lost Trail Lodge Music Festival at the lodge near Truckee, Calif.The group, which was born on a large front porch in the downtown historic district of Carson City, claims musical heritage and influences from the bluegrass, folk, jazz, rock and reggae genres.Suspect Terrane’s CD “Orogeny” is a collection of original songs and instrumentals, along with members’ arrangements of classics from folk and bluegrass.
