Obituary: John Robert "Bob" Burnett


John Robert "Bob" Burnett 71, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on April 1, 2012 after battling multiple illnesses for many years.

Born in Clovis, New Mexico September 15, 1940 to Virgil Robert and Gertrude Burnett. He moved to Carson City as a child and in 1969 moved to Thousand Oaks Ca where he lived until he retired. He was very active in the Optimist Club and a well-known escrow officer for many years. He was an active member for many years at First Baptist Church in Thousand Oaks.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Spinner, and her husband Steve, of Santa Clarita, Ca.; his son, Jeffery Burnett and his wife, Theresa, of West Hills Ca. He is also survived by his grandson, Brandon Duggan of Santa Clarita and granddaughter Amanda Duggan of Springfield Missouri. He is also survived by three sisters and one brother and multiple nieces and nephews along with many of his grandchildrens friends that called him "grandpa"

His services will be Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1pm at First Baptist Church of Thousand Oaks.
