Man jailed in rape of teen in home

A Carson City man remained in custody Monday, charged in the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Luis Mayoral-Ortiz, 27, was booked at 8:01 p.m. Sunday into the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony sexual assault, statutory sexual seduction and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

According to the arrest report, the teen reported Sunday afternoon that she and a girlfriend had gone to Mayoral-Ortiz's Hot Springs Road mobile home between midnight and 4 a.m. with a male classmate and that they drank Jack Daniels whisky.

The girl said she vomited three times and passed out. When she awoke, the report states, Mayoral-Ortiz was having sex with her.

She said she tried to push him off, but she was too weak, according to the report.

Then two other people came into the room and sat down, she reported.

"The victim said she had to be assisted by her friend with getting her underwear and shorts back on and they left," according to the report.

The report states that when the girls first got to the house, the victim's friend told all the men that she and the girl were only 15.

"She even went as far as telling the suspect not to touch her friend," the report states.

Police contacted Mayoral-Ortiz as he walked back to his vehicle after shopping at Walmart.

He reportedly told them that the sex was consensual and that he thought the girl was 19.

"It should be noted these two girls were his younger (17-year-old) brother's friends, and his brother is currently in high school," the police report says.

A search of his home yielded condoms, four empty bottle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Bacardi, authorities said.

Mayoral-Ortiz is being held on $25,000 bail.
