Standard Diesel and Repair in Gardnerville is hosting a fundraiser for Dillon McKenzie, 15, who is recovering from a serious July 7 diving accident.
On Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the company will donate $22 to Dillon's fund for every diesel oil and filter change, and $18 for every gas vehicle.
Those driving a Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, or Dodge diesel, or any gas-powered passenger car or light truck, are asked to call 782-9499 for a reservation and price quote.
The public is welcome to drop by and support the family even if no vehicle is being serviced. Hot dogs and cold drinks will be served at the event.
Standard Diesel is located 1425, Suite B, Industrial Way, Gardnerville.
Monetary donations can be made to Dillon's trust fund under his parents' names, Mike and Megan McKenzie, at Greater Nevada Credit Union in Minden.
