New and returning Douglas County 4-H members, parents and leaders are invited to find out what 4-H has to offer during orientation night, 6:30 p.m. Monday, at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
The program is open to youth ages 5-19. There are no fees to join.
Youth have the opportunity to sign up for projects for the upcoming year. Space is limited for many projects, so plan to arrive early.
Get information about 4-H Cloverbuds for age 8 and younger, and 4-H activities including camp, congress, Capital Days, parade floats. Orientation night is the only chance to buy 4-H T-shirts.
Receive 4-H project calendars, member guidelines and age requirements and information about 4-H projects including baking, sewing, sheep, dogs, horses, rabbits, Guinea pigs, science, poultry, swine, community service, public speaking, shooting sports, beef, teen leadership, livestock judging, gardening, goats, and scuba.
