Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gall for Gardnerville resident John Wesley Snyder, 61, who died Oct. 19, 2010, at his home. The Rosary will be said 7 p.m. Friday.
Born Nov. 17, 1948, in Hampton, N.J., he moved to Sylmar, Calif., and then to Gardnerville in 1993.
Mr. Snyder was a painting contractor, who loved baseball. He would have celebrated his 22nd year of sobriety on Oct. 20. He is preceded in death by daughter Nicole Michelle, parents Luther and Dolly Snyder and infant sisters Mary Lou and Judith Ann.
He is survived by wife Patti; son Wesley (Danielle) of St. Louis, sister Michelle (Tim) Janssen of Bangor, Pa.; nieces Kelsey (Rob) Poyer of Flowermound, Texas, and Tarra Zeoli of Sloatsville, N.Y.; nephew Craig (Lani) Hahn of Hellertown, Pa.; and stepmother Barb of Bangor, Pa.
