Change in store

EDITOR:

I write this letter to emphasize to the citizens of the great state of Nevada, as well as the United States: Study the ballots, and vote as if your life depends on it. It is in our opinion that most of the elected officials of the United States think they are a member of an elitist group.

Most laws that they enact for "We the People," to follow, while they seem to have immunity. We feel they think they are elected to this position because "We the People" are too dumb to do the job.

It is time to let these elitists know that it is time for them to "clean their house." It is time for them to know if they do not clean their house, "We the People" will do it for them.

It is time that there is a change in Washington DC to benefit "We the People" and not the elected officials alone. The time for a new amendment to the Bill of Rights is due. No. 28 - That any law that affects the people will also affect the Congress and any law that affects the Congress will also affect the people.

There needs to be election reform. The law would prohibit the cutthroat and dirty campaigning, as well as the amount of money that is spent and the length of time to campaign.

The healthy retirement program and health program would be eliminated and they would have to be part of "We the People's" program.

These elected officials need to learn that it is "We the People" who run this country and not them and their rich backers. This is our country, not just theirs. It is time the Federal Government gets out of the states' business and quit spending like there is no end to the cash. It is time to secure our borders. It is time to take care of the people of the United States first, then other countries.

We think it is time to "shut off the cash cow," because she has gone dry. We need accountability.
