A celebration of life for Anneliese Herbig is 11 a.m. Saturday at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville. Mrs. Herbig died at her home following a prolonged illness on Aug. 8, 2010, at the age of 85.
Born Sept. 24, 1924, in Wittingen, Germany, she was a resident of Carson Valley since 1950.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Carson Valley Historical Society, Shriner's Children's Hospital or the Family Support Council of Douglas County.
