Re-elect Dave Brady

I am writing to ask your support to re-elect Dave Brady to the Board of County Commissioners.

I have personally witnessed Dave's personal and professional skills for many years. He served the community for nine years as a member of the Douglas County School District Board of Trustees. For two of those years, while he was the president and I was superintendent, we collaborated frequently to resolve substantial issues. I admired Dave's professionalism and respect for the public, for district staff, for his fellow Board members, and for my administration.

Dave was always well prepared for each meeting. He was compassionate but focused in high pressure situations that demanded results. He had high expectations for me and the Board that we would work efficiently and effectively together. I was impressed with his significant knowledge of collective bargaining. He was especially qualified to scrutinize and understand the district's budget, and not shy about questioning the use of taxpayer money. I am convinced that those last two areas of expertise are particularly important to the County during this difficult time we face.

I am extremely fortunate to have worked so closely with Dave for nine years as a district administrator and superintendent. I saw first-hand his passion, skills, and dedication to public service.

We are fortunate that he wants to continue to serve as commissioner. He has earned our support.
