Chamber music presented in two concerts

The Carson Valley Arts Council and Corpus Christi Catholic Church present classical, romantic and modern chamber music by Trio Brio on June 6 and June 19.

Trio Brio is David Brock on piano, Pat Crane on viola and Darrell Moore on clarinet. The group is joined by guest Maureen Leonard on piano.

On the program is Mozart's "Trio in E-flat Major," also known as "The Bowling Alley Trio" for its nine-note theme, Max Reger's "Suite No. 1 for Viola," Max Bruch's "Eight Pieces" collection, three Chopin piano works, and "Trio pour Clarinette, Alto et Piano" by Jean Françaix.

Performances are 5 p.m. June 6 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3597 N. Sunridge Drive, Carson City, and 7:30 p.m. June 19 at the Copeland Cultural Arts Center, 1572 Highway 395, Minden.

Tickets are $35 front row, $20 general admission, $5 children with paid adult, available at www.cvartscouncil.com or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at the Corpus Christi church office. Information, 782-8207.
