East Fok firefighters responded to a car fire 2:41 p.m. today at Highway 395 and New Hope Drive in Spring Valley.
They arrived to find a Volkswagen bug ablaze. No one was in the car, and there were no reports of injuries.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from igniting surrounding brush, despite a breeze.
Douglas County Sheriff's deputies conducted traffic control around the site of the fire.
