Sponsoring a lasting bouquet for Mother's Day, a birthday or anniversary, helps with the beautification of downtown Gardnerville. Call the Gardnerville town office by 5 p.m. Friday to sponsor a basket of flowers to honor your mother on Mother's Day.
Hanging baskets of flowers will line Highway 395 from mid-June through mid-September.
Participants receive cards with photos of one of the baskets. Sponsors will be listed on the Main Street Web site and posted in a kiosk that will be installed in June.
The cost is $75 per basket. To sponsor a basket, call the Gardnerville town office at 782-7134.
The Main Street Gardnerville program is affiliated with the National Main Street Program for historic preservation.
