University offers free energy efficiency workshop

The Business Environmental Program is presenting a free March 18 seminar to Northern Nevada businesses to explain how to reduce energy use and lower operating costs. Business owners, managers, and leaseholders will appreciate the hands-on advice and money-saving approach presented in these workshops. The presenter is an award winning consultant and contractor and has been in the energy use reduction field for over 20 years.

The seminar is 8-10 a.m. at NV Energy, 6100 Neil Road, Room B-7, in Reno

This seminar is one of a series of workshops given monthly at the NV Energy building in Reno. The seminars focus on low-cost projects that can significantly reduce energy use and pay for themselves quickly. These projects yield positive cash flow in a very short time, with much better return on investment than alternative energy systems. By acting on energy efficiency opportunities the funds that would otherwise go toward paying the power bill become available for other productive use.

Resources to assist with implementing energy efficiency measures and realizing the economic benefits will be presented including NV Energy's cash incentive program and business and finance support from the Small Business Development Centers.

These seminars are an informative practical companion to the other no-cost energy efficiency services provided by the Business Environmental Program at the Nevada Small Business Development Centers.
