Two injured in domestic disturbance

On Sunday, at approximately 1:30 pm, officers of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 1268 Esther Wy, Minden, for an unknown disturbance.

An anonymous female who resides in the neighborhood called DCSO dispatch and advised that there was some kind of disturbance occurring at 1268 Esther Wy.

Upon arrival at the location, deputies learned that 39 year-old Keith Watrous, a resident of Carson City, had entered the residence of his ex-girlfriend, 37 year-old Sabrina Pallo, without her permission.

After entering the residence, Watrous became involved in a physical altercation with 37 year-old Tom Warne, a male friend of Pallo's, who was present inside the residence.

During the altercation, Watrous struck Warne in the head with a flashlight several times. Also during the incident, Pallo stabbed Watrous with a kitchen knife in an attempt to get him to stop striking Warne with the flashlight.

After being stabbed, Watrous fled the residence, and drove away in Pallo's vehicle without her permission.

Watrous drove to Carson City, and later contacted medics due to injuries sustained in the incident. Watrous was subsequently careflighted to Renown Medical Center where he was treated for his injury (single stab wound to the lower right back).

Warne was transported from the scene to Carson Tahoe Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident.

Investigation is continuing into the incident.
