Sierra Adrenaline kicks off Relay for Life campaign

Sierra Adrenaline Cheer and Tumbling, combined with West Coast Martial Arts is work to make a difference locally.

Together, the diverse training gym for martial arts, Brazilian Jujitsu and competition cheer and stunting, is taking their new motto "Out of the gym and into the community" and running with it.

They are targeting special community-based projects throughout the Carson Valley to give back to the community.

The next project underway for the for team is the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event held July 24-25 at Lampe Park.

The groups are working to raise a combined $10,000 plus for the cancer society. They will host a car wash fundraiser at the Stratton Center in Minden on Saturday.

All donations will be used go toward Relay for Life.

There will also be demonstrations throughout the day from Sierra Adrenaline's cheer stunt team and from the West Coast Martial Arts Action Team.

These athletes train four or more days per week, often two hours per day.
