The R-C Morning Report

A red flag warning is in effect along the east slope of the Sierra this afternoon and evening as low humidity and gusty winds continue to produce critical fire weather, according to the National Weather Service. Then high pressure will turn up the heat for warm, dry conditions through Saturday.

Kingsbury and Highway 395 at Topsy Lane continue to be the big construction zones in the county. There are smaller projects going on in the Valley's communities.

Today's weather will be sunny with a high temperature near 94. Winds will pick up later this morning to between 5-15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.
