Kathi Susan Furbee

Kathi Susan Furbee, 55, died July 10, 2010 at her home in Minden.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.

She was born on Jan. 30, 1955, in Hollywood, Calif. to Donna Lane and Gordon Lane.  She grew up in Southern California and moved to the Carson Valley in 1980.  

Kathi was an avid music lover who enjoyed spending time with her Boston Terriers Izzy and Sonny. She was also a diehard Los Angeles Lakers fan and a skilled cook.

She is preceded in death by her father and her beloved dogs Annie and Rosie.

Kathi is survived by her husband of 18 years, Harold Michael Furbee; her son Ryan Lamb (Lorelei Reed) and daughter Karen Lamb; her grandson Jase Lamb; her mother Donna Lane; her siblings Nancy McDowell (Rick), Jeff Lane (Christine), and Tracey Gibson (Mike); her nephews Luke and Matt; her nieces Erica, Marcella, Julianna, and Emma; and her many extended family, dear friends, and dogs.

A celebration of love and life will be held at a private residence at 1213 Manhattan Way in Gardnerville from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 17.
