The R-C Morning Report

Senate candidate Sharron Angle's speech in Gardnerville to the Sierra Nevada Republican Women has been sold out. Donna Baushke said it's the first time they've ever had an event fill up this quickly. Angle is speaking on July 14.

Public Administrator Lynn EnEarl didn't oppose having an interim guardian appointed in the case of Sharon Hicks, who recovered from being hit by a truck to find her personal property sold and her bank account drained. EnEarl still has to answer some questions about the accounting and come up with a more detailed inventory in the case.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous outlook for the east slope of the Sierra today and Friday. Thunderstorms are expected over most of the area capable of locally heavy rain and small hail up to a half inch in diameter. Strong, gusty winds will accompany the thunderstorms. Thunderstorm chances will decrease over the weekend.
