Baseball: Schierholtz, Bowker compete for Giants' RF job

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The right-field job with the San Francisco Giants is open, and both Nate Schierholtz and John Bowker would like to have it.

Both players are 26 years old and hit left handed.

Schierholtz played winter ball in Puerto Rico and feels he's in outstanding shape. He's trying to show more patience at the plate during spring training in Arizona.

Bowker says that even though the Giants' outfield is crowded this spring, he's confident he can be a factor.
