Builder Mike McCormick and wall captain Kim Swearingen explain the design, permitting, and construction process at Constance Alexander's straw bale home.

The tour is free, but reservations are required with Vicki Bates, vrbates@charter.net or 265-6827. Tours coordinated by educational nonprofit organization Sustainable Living and Renewable Energy Roundup. Information, www.greenlivingfest.org
