The Court-Appointed Special Advocate program of Douglas County is holding an orientation meeting 1 p.m. Friday at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center, Courtroom 2, 1625 8th St., Minden.
Current volunteers will answer questions and share their experiences about advocacy for children who are victims of abuse and neglect or at the center of a custody battle in a divorce.
Training is held once a year and will begin in late February.
If you are interested in becoming a CASA volunteer, but are unable to attend the meeting, call Linda Cuddy at 782-6247.
