EDITOR:
I recently had the privilege through Leadership Douglas County to participate in the ride along program with Deputy Rodney Ginocchio of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Our shift was 2 p.m. to midnight, and we patrolled Sector D4 the north valley. I would like to share with you the dedication, compassion and professionalism shown by all of the officers who were on patrol that night. I was impressed by the way the sheriff's office handled all calls received. Regardless of the nature of the call, they are concerned with the danger to the public as well as helping the individual in need. As citizens of Douglas County, we should be very proud of the way the sheriff's office protects and serves the people of Douglas County.
Thank you Deputy Rodney for the great experience and Sheriff Ron Pierini for giving me the opportunity to share in the ride-along program.
