The Smith Valley Branch Library, Cultural Activities Club, Smith Valley School and Smith Valley Friends of the Library have teamed up to co-host the annual event El dia de los ninos/El dia de los libros (Day of the Child/Day of the Book) 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Smith Valley students will perform a puppet show written by club members, Bernie Beauchamp a puppeteer from Reno, and the Yerington High School Folklorico Dancers.
There will be free crafts for the children and refreshments.
The Smith Valley Branch Library will be promoting library and information services to the community and the Spanish speaking.
The Smith Valley Library is located at 22 Day Lane, Smith. The phone number is 465-2369. The library hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The library is closed Saturday, Sunday, Monday and holidays.
